Hi Everyone,

The Willamette Table Tennis Club in Salem, Oregon is pleased to announce our third Stellan and Angie Bengtsson training camp coming this summer. This is a special training opportunity with one of the great coaches of the world in a small group setting.  Stellan is the 1971 World Singles Champion
whose coaching credentials include Waldner, Persson, Karlsson, Lindh, Maze, and other greats.  Stellan speaks excellent English, has incredible knowledge, and is truly a gifted teacher.  Here is what Sean O'Neill (himself a former top American player and excellent coach) has to say about
training with Stellan:

"Stellan is by far the best coach I have ever worked with and I have worked with a number of the best Swedish and Chinese coaches of the last 30 years... I want to stress that if you are a serious player or coach you are missing an opportunity of a lifetime if you don't take advantage of this unique opportunity...  I would guess the 5 days of intense training would be the equivalent of probably 8-10 months of weekly lessons."

Our camp provides an opportunity to learn from Stellan in a small group setting of 12 to 16 serious-minded players in an excellent playing facility. Great lighting, top quality tables, and lots of space all help to make learning easier.  If you ever wanted to improve your game, this is your opportunity.
We also have some special events planned:

** Extra multiball training with Stelland Angie.  The camp runs Thursday through Monday, but we'll offer multiball training on Wednesday evening at an extra (hourly) charge.  This is a limited capacity opportunity, so spaces will be assigned on a first come, first serve basis.

** Party time!  This camp is scheduled for Labor Day Weekend.  It's our club tradition to have a barbecue on that Saturday to celebrate the end of summer.  This year, we'll be holding the party at the end of the Saturday training session.  Grilled hot dogs and hamburgers, pot luck salads, and ice cream to top it off.  It's the most fun you'll eve have at a club whether you hit a ball or not.

Here are the camp details:

Dates: Sept. 3 (Thursday) through Sept. 7 (Monday -- Labor Day holiday),
2009
Fee: $500
Late Fee: Registration after 8/24/09 is $520.
Extra Multiball: Sept. 2 (Wednesday evening).  Two people at a time with either Stellan ($40/person) or Angie ($20/person). Party: Sept. 5 (Saturday) after the training session (probably 5:00 or so).
It's free and it's fun.

Please register online at http://www.wtabletennis.org/stellanCampSept2009/.

The target audience for this camp is 1400 to 2200, but we are willing to consider people outside this range.  You can write to me at president@wtabletennis.org with your questions.  Or call me at 503-851-2941.  I do encourage you to register early.  The camp has limited space and we
expect to fill quickly.

Thanks and hope to hear from you soon!

P.S. Even if you can't come yourself, please spread the word.  You can  forward this email or you download the PDF file from our web site at hand it out at your club.  Your help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

P.P.S. Here are some quotes from participants at our previous camps:

"I wanted to thank both of you for such an incredible training camp. I was pleasantly surprised at how kind and passionate both of you were in teaching table tennis."  "I learned from one of the best TT players and coaches in the world about the game in general and how to improve my game the
particular."  "It was a wonderful table tennis training and a wonderful time with Stellan and Angie."  "I can't say enough about how much I learned, and how efficiently the drills ingrained the habits into me.  I know both of you are professionals, but it just absolutely amazes me how quickly and most
importantly how well you can explain and highlight the problems in my game."
